Shakshuka, a Maghreb break-first
Ingredients needed:
- 3-4 tomatoes per person
- 2-3 eggs per person
- 1 red or green pepper
- 1 spoon of concentrated tomato
- 5 cl of water
- 1 onion
- 3 gloves of garlic
- 1 chilly pepper
- Parsley
- Paprika powder
How to cook the shakshuka:
- Dice all the ingredients in cubes
- In a hot pan, add a spoon of olive oil, then the onion, garlic and chilly pepper and the concentrated tomato and cook them for 2 min
- After 2 min, add up the tomatoes, the pepper, the paprika and the water, stir and cook it for 5 to 10 min
- Create little holes in the pan to create space for the eggs, crack the eggs and cover the pan for 3 to 5 min until the eggs are cooked
- To finish add as a topping the chopped parsley
